Jeff Dowis, MD

Dr. Dowis received his medical degree from the University Health Sciences, followed by an internship at the Medical College of Georgia and a residency at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Dowis is a Major in the US Air Force Reserve and serves as the Chief Medical Officer to Mountain Lakes Medical Center. Growing up in Habersham County, Dr. Dowis understands the importance of ensuring quality medical care to our area and maintaining a community hospital.

David Hon, MD

Dr. Hon graduated with honors from Rutgers University and received his medical degree from Oral Roberts University Medical School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He completed his residency in general surgery from St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey. Dr. Hon has provided general surgery and cosmetic services to patients in Rabun County since 1995.

Anna Ledford, NP-C

Anna Ledford is a graduate from North Georgia with a graduate degree from Vanderbilt University. Anna is board certified in Family Medicine. Anna is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Honor Society of International Nursing, and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Brian Pratt, MD

Dr. Brian Pratt earned his Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Biology from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1998 and received his medical degree in 2011 from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Dr. Pratt completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine-Knoxville Department of Family Medicine. He is certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Mark Herndon, MD, FACS

Dr. Herndon is Board Certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina and received a Masters of Arts in Religion from Liberty University. Dr. Herndon completed the Medical College of Georgia – School of Medicine, followed by a Residency in General Surgery from Mercer University Department of Surgery.

Aaron Thomas, Jr. MD, MPH

Dr. Thomas is board-certified in internal medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina, School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health degree from Emory University. Dr. Thomas graduated from the University of Georgia, followed by a residency and internal medicine internship at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
